Tuesday, July 23rd: Pioneer Day at The Art Barn
Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019
$85/child (includes all material fees)
In this class, students will go back in time in a rural setting that takes them to the 1800 and 1900’s when pioneers were settling in the 38th state to join the union: Colorado. We will learn about Zebulon Pike and his expeditions to the West. Students will gain knowledge about the gold rush of 1858 and how that effected things on a micro and macro level. Children will have an opportunity to pan for gold, learn how to make butter, create small woven circular rugs, weave on wagon wheels and make feather quill pens to use with India Ink. This Art Barn class is engaging, very interesting and novel!
*We keep this class size small in order for each student to have a hands on opportunity to participate in the several activities offered.
*cancellation policy: Half of tuition is non-refundable in the event of a requested refund.
